RULES OF THE GAME
GENERAL
- Only lawful firearms chambered for .22
Long Rifle may be used; hand gun or long gun. Any
type action or sight, except for a projected beam, may be used. No slings or other supportive device may be used.
- Minors (under 18) are allowed if
accompanied by parent or guardian. Shooters must not be prohibited by law or decree
from handling or discharging a firearm.
- All present must wear hearing and eye
protection during any phase of firing.
- Event judge has final say on all rules,
and retains the right to remove a shooter from the event for any cause deemed appropriate
by the judge.
FEES AND DISBURSEMENT
- Club members will be charged $5.00 to
participate; non-club members, $8.00.
- Fifty per cent of fees will be parsed
to the top three teams; remaining 50 % to the Club and for event operating expenses.
- Participants may purchase one or more
50/50 tickets for a chance to shoot the SKADOO!!. (See
full SKADOO!! Rules.)
TEAM SELECTION AND SHOOTING
- Teams of two shooters will be
selected by random drawing.
- Long gun shooting will be done
at 50 yards, and hand gun shooting at 25 yards.
- Event consists of three relays
per team, with shooters alternating between long gun and hand gun for the first two
relays; third relay is team choice.
- Teams have a maximum of three
minutes per relay to shoot 10 shots per target, with no alibis.
- Scoped firearms will receive an
eight point penalty per relay used.
- Top six teams with high
aggregate score will compete in a one relay shoot-off; firearm selection is team choice.
- Top three shoot-off teams will
finish in the money.
SKADOO!! RULES
1.
A minimum of three shooters will be
chosen by random from the 50/50 tickets purchased to shoot the SKADOO!!
2.
The SKADOO!! is a ping pong ball
suspended by fishing line at a distance of fifty yards.
3.
Using a rifle with any sight, a
shooter takes one shot at the SKADOO!!. Scoped rifles must be fired within 20
seconds. Open sight rifles must be fired within one minute.
4.
Spectators are encouraged to verbally
harass the SKADOO!! shooter.
5.
A winning hit stops the competition. A legitimate hit must cause a hole in the SKADOO!!;
scuffs or dents are not legitimate hits.
6.
If there is no winner, prize money
rolls over to the next SKADOO!! event.

EVENT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, AND RULES AND FORMATS MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME AND APPRECIATED.
